Traktor —
a cast let loose

Traktor · business community · Moldova

Scope: character illustration, hand-lettering and sticker design. Campaign concept by the client.

The full set of Traktor stickers — a brigade of illustrated tractorists on orange fields, each with a QR code

The challenge

Traktor is a business community in Moldova — entrepreneurs who take the name literally: a tractor works the field, so do they. A community has no product to put on a shelf. What it hands you is a reason to ask who they are. The client's idea was stickers with a QR to the community site. The studio's job was the part that makes one worth sticking on your laptop — the drawing.

The face

One tractor mark and a brigade of "tractorists" — a digger, a builder, a sower, a mechanic — each an entrepreneur in disguise, played straight. Same orange field, same hand, down to the lettering, all drawn from scratch. The copy invites: "Want in on Traktor?", "Ask a tractorist", "Tractorising Moldova, 2050". Joke and drawing carry equal weight — funny enough to keep, confident enough to mean it.

What stayed,
what changed

Stayed — across the set

The things that gather eleven different drawings into one pack, even stuck in a crowd of other people's flyers: the hand — the lettering, the line, the weight — the tractor mark, the square, and the character always a doer, mid-task, head to toe.

Changed — sticker to sticker

More than you'd expect. Not just the hero and the words — the colour field, the composition, where the QR sits, even whether there's a person at all: "Tractorising Moldova, 2050" is a poster with no figure; "300" and one "Want in?" drop the orange for blue and green.

That's the proof it's a system and not a template. A template makes eleven of the same. A system can make eleven that differ in colour, layout, even subject — and still read as one family on sight. It holds its own exceptions.

The world

A sticker only works if it leaves the sheet. These did — on a laptop in a room full of lanyards, a phone case in a festival crowd, a car dashboard with a Chișinău trolleybus rolling past, a worker's locker in a changing room, a gear case at a festival. A member sticks one on and it says which brigade they ride with. A stranger sees it and asks the exact question the community wants asked — what is Traktor? — and scans. The drawing catches the eye; the QR does the rest.

The result

The stickers went out across Moldova — laptops, phones, cars, cases, boards — each a small door to the community site. A cast built for one brand, ending up in a hundred hands, doing what a community needs most: getting strangers to ask to join.
