CUTCH’S FEISTY SAUCES
Client: Cutch’s Feisty Sauces
Scope: Brand identity and packaging design
Context
Cutch’s is a growing craft sauce brand with an expanding range of flavours.
Each new product arrived with little more than a name — Lava Sauce, Mahalo Habanero, Valhalla Verde, Campfire Mayo. The challenge was to turn those names into a packaging system that could grow over time while giving every flavour its own distinct identity.
Approach
Instead of illustrating the ingredients, we illustrated the experience behind each flavour.
Every label was built around a different place, mood or adventure suggested by its name. A volcano became the face of Lava Sauce. Mahalo Habanero captured the feeling of a Hawaiian surf trip. Valhalla Verde drew inspiration from Nordic landscapes, while Campfire Mayo brought the warmth of an evening around the fire.
Although every scene tells a different story, the bottles share the same visual structure, allowing new flavours to join the range without changing the identity of the brand.
Result
The growing collection feels varied without becoming fragmented.
Each flavour has its own atmosphere, while the consistent layout and illustration style keep the range recognisable on the shelf. As new products are introduced, the brand continues to grow through new destinations rather than repeated designs.
